This collection of repeat prints features a straight, brick, and half drop repeat. I was inspired by the story of the sassafras tree and its unique set of three leaf types, resembling the human hand without thumbs, the hand with one thumb, and the hand with two thumbs. Using digital and traditional illustration techniques I created a narrative print demonstrating my relationship with the tree, it's story, and how my own opposable thumbs empower me to tell stories.
